Universal Freemason Podcast Episode One What IS Universal Freemasonry, Anyway?

Universal Freemason Podcast Episode 1

Welcome to Episode One.

This is the premier episode where, frankly, I was uncertain if there would be any interest at all in this podcast so I wanted to start slowly and just explain what Universal Freemason Research Society is to begin with.

We are a non-profit educational organization formed to bring Masonic philosophies to the masses as a means to help improve society.

There is nothing to join, everything we do is free to the public.

We are not a masonic lodge nor do we advertise for any masonic lodge or masonic order.

We encourage ALL masons to recognize each other and we encourage everyone to live a masonic life.

We often read from books by authors such as Albert Pike, Albert G. Mackey and Manly P. Hall and we encourage the listener to conduct their own studies into masonic philosophies and to form their own opinions.

The Universal Freemason Podcast Episode 16 The 2020 Thanksgiving Episode

CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO EPISODE 16       Greetings and thank you for listening to Universal Freemason Podcast. In this episode we explore Thanksgiving traditions and traditions of freemasonry. With so many empty seats this year as we face the pandemic death count getting bigger, how can we even celebrate anything? In this episode I suggest we celebrate the HOPE for a better day, and celebrate lives well lived by those that are missing now. It has been a tough year, and there is no doubt this will be a tough holiday. Lets hope this passes soon.

The Point in the Heart

Greetings Everyone!     I’m sitting and reflecting today about my initiation ceremony (so many years ago now, but so much to decipher so it’s on my mind a lot) and I became enlightened as to one meaning of being greeted with the point of the compass over the heart.   In the teachings of Kabbalah, we learn that one does not seek the spiritual in a sincere way until we reach “a point in our heart” where we realize we should seek enlightenment.   When we decipher the meaning of the compass, we learn that the compass represents that which is spiritual (the square represents that which is earthly) and we are greeted with the points of the compass over our heart.  If we view this from a kabbalistic perspective, we have entered the lodge room attaining “the point in the heart” where we realize we should seek more enlightenment, and thus, our Masonic journey towards “more light” begins!   What is your perspective regarding this?     Thanks for rea...
